Simply put, hosting is not free. This site is a service to the general public for the reasons stated on the welcome page. Basically this involves user privacy and submission of the photos to the public domain.

Since hosting is not free, we have added text ads in order to earn some income to eventually (we hope) cover the hosting costs. We try to make these ads as non-intrusive as possible.

We also accept donations to help cover our costs.
